Terms and conditions

The terms for using letissier.ie and for the software licences sold through it. Purchases are made through Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record.

Who we are

This website and the software sold on it are provided by LeTissier Creative Studios Ltd ("we", "us"). We are a private company limited by shares, registered in Ireland with the Companies Registration Office under number 808819.

  • Registered office: 40 Carleton Road, Marino, Dublin 3, D03 VW30
  • VAT number: IE4701907AH
  • Contact: info@letissier.ie

These terms apply when you use letissier.ie, start a trial, sign in to your account, or buy or use a licence for any of our software. If you are a consumer, nothing in them reduces the rights the law gives you.

Buying a licence

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

In practice, when you click Buy licence you buy from Paddle, under Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paddle takes the payment, charges the VAT or sales tax that applies where you are, and sends your receipt and invoice. Once Paddle confirms the payment, we issue your licence key and email it to you.

The prices on this site are shown without VAT by default. You can switch the display to include Irish VAT, but that figure is only a guide. Paddle works out the tax for your country at checkout, and the total it shows there is what you pay.

We check prices carefully. If a price is clearly wrong because of a mistake, we or Paddle may cancel the order and refund you in full before the licence is issued.

What a licence gives you

A licence lets you install and run the software it names, for your own work or your organisation's, on as many machines at once as its seats allow. Each product page shows the seats, the offline period and the updates you get.

  • Perpetual use. Every build you are entitled to keeps working for as long as you want to use it. We do not switch off software you have paid for.
  • Updates. Most licences include every build released in the twelve months after purchase. Datamosh includes updates for as long as it exists. Yewee licences cover every build of the major version you bought. The next major version is a separate purchase, discounted if you own the previous one.
  • Renewals. Where a product offers renewal, it buys another twelve months of updates. The twelve months start from the later of today or the date your current updates end, so renewing early never costs you time.
  • Activation. A licence is activated online once on each machine, which then has to check in with our server at least once in its offline period, 30 days for most licences. You can move a seat between machines from your account.

You may not share a licence key beyond its seats, resell or sublicense it, or remove, bypass or tamper with the licence checks. Where a product's source code is published, the licence file in its repository covers that code: the MIT License for Datamosh, and the Elastic License 2.0 for Vizz, Crewbox and Yewee. Those three moved from MIT to the Elastic License in September 2026, so code released before the change stays under MIT. Light's source code is not published, and its downloads include the Elastic License 2.0 that covers it. The Elastic License lets you use, copy, change and share the code, but not offer the software to others as a hosted service or get round its licence keys. These terms do not limit anything the code's own licence allows you to do with it. The licence key covers the official builds and the services behind them.

Free trials

Every product has a free trial. It needs an email address and runs on one machine for the period shown on the product page. After that the trial stops working unless you buy a licence. Each machine can have one trial of each product. A trial is free and we never ask for payment details to start one.

Refunds

Our refund policy explains when and how you can get your money back. In short, any licence can be refunded within 30 days of purchase without giving a reason. Paddle, as the seller, handles the refund.

When a licence stops working

We will revoke a licence, and the software will stop activating or checking in with it, if:

  • the purchase is refunded in full, or charged back through your bank or card issuer;
  • the key is shared, resold or published beyond its seats, or the licence checks are tampered with; or
  • the purchase was fraudulent.

If we revoke a licence by mistake, or a chargeback is reversed and the payment stands, we will reinstate it. Where we revoke for a breach of these terms, we will tell you first and give you a chance to explain, unless the misuse is obvious or ongoing.

Your account

You sign in with a link we email to you, so anyone who can read your email can open your account. Keep your mailbox secure. From your account you can see your licences, move seats and renew.

The software itself

Our tools are built for live production, and we test them for that. But no software is free of faults, and a show is no place to find one. Try every new build, and every change to your system, before you use it in a show.

If you are a consumer, digital content you buy must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the equivalent law where you live. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund. These terms do not limit those rights.

If you are buying for a business, the software is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those in these terms, and our total liability for any licence is limited to the price paid for it. We are not liable to a business for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or a cancelled or disrupted event.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Components made by others

Our software includes components made by others, each under its own licence. The notices file that ships inside each product lists them, with their licences and copyright notices.

  • Where a component's own licence gives you rights, these terms do not take them away. For example, the GNU Lesser General Public License lets you replace a library covered by it with your own version, and reverse engineer the product as far as you need to debug that change.
  • NDI®. Where our software includes NDI® software from Vizrt NDI AB, you may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble that NDI software, except as far as the law allows despite this limit. It is provided as it is: Vizrt NDI AB gives you no warranty for it and has no liability to you for it. NDI® is a registered trademark of Vizrt NDI AB, and its copyright notices are in the product's notices file.

This website

The text, images, designs and code of this site belong to us unless they say otherwise. Links to other sites, including GitHub, are for convenience and we do not control what is on them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our products or the law change. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published on the day you bought. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU or in the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.

Contact and complaints
