Clip-grid looks
Layers stack bottom to top with blend modes: washes replace, FX multiply over whatever colour is up, strobes ride on top. A column is a cue, a cell is a look, and flash cells are momentary.
The look engine for Resolume
Lighting that plays like Resolume.
LIGHT sits between Arena and your lighting rig. Build looks in a clip grid, fire them from columns, MIDI pads or Resolume itself, with beat-synced effects, real 3D previz and steady Art-Net output at 40 Hz. No cue stacks, no virtual consoles, no channel spreadsheets mid-set.

It starts a free trial on first open. It does not run on an Intel Mac.

Layers stack bottom to top with blend modes: washes replace, FX multiply over whatever colour is up, strobes ride on top. A column is a cue, a cell is a look, and flash cells are momentary.
Sine, saw, square, chase and random waves in musical units from a quarter beat to eight bars, with size, phase spread and width per fixture group. Tap tempo, drag the BPM, or let Arena drive it.
Point Arena's OSC output at LIGHT and column launches fire matching light cues while Arena's BPM drives every effect. One clip grid runs video and lights together.
A 3D beam view with true macro colours, plus a 2D plan where you drag fixtures into place. See the show without powering the rig.
Continuous 40 Hz output, broadcast or unicast per universe, with live DMX meters and engine health always on screen.
DMX renders on its own real-time thread with native MIDI, so a busy interface never stutters the output. Autosave keeps five generations of backups.
The build is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised, so there is no Gatekeeper detour.
Drag LIGHT into Applications and double-click it. Allow local network access when asked: Art-Net and sACN are how it reaches your rig.
The default project ships with a working rig and looks, so something moves the moment it opens. Patch your fixtures on the 2D plan, build looks, and fire them from the grid.
The DMX core is written twice, a TypeScript reference and the production Rust engine, and a test requires byte-identical output on all 512 channels before anything ships.
Columns skip momentary flash looks by design, so a cue can never latch a blinder on.
